The City of Coronado will observe the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays on Friday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Jan. 1, and reminds residents and businesses that, except for the Golf Course, all municipal facilities will be closed. There will be some adjusted hours for Christmas and New Year’s Eve as noted in the schedule below.
Coronado Police and Fire will be staffed for the holidays. Public Services will be on call to respond to emergencies. Public Services crews will not sweep streets on either holiday. EDCO will not perform regular residential trash collection on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. The Golf Course will be open on both holidays and the Skatepark will be open from 1 p.m. to dusk only on New Year’s Day.
The Library will be closed through Jan. 4 but will offer curbside service. Curbside service will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the closure. The exceptions will be Sunday, Dec. 27 (currently closed Sundays), New Year’s Eve, Thursday, Dec. 31, and Friday, Jan. 1, due to the holiday.
