City Council Actions from Sept. 21, 2021

 

5.         CONSENT CALENDAR: 

a.         Approval of Reading by Title and Waiver of Reading in Full of Ordinances on this Agenda.  (Pg 5) Approved.

*b.          Review and Approve that the Warrants, as Certified by the City/Agency Treasurer, are all Correct, Just, and Conform to the Approved Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22.  (Pg 7) Approved.

c.         Second Reading and Adoption of “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Coronado, California, Adding Subsection C to Section 2.04.060 of the City of Coronado Municipal Code Regarding Official Bonds and Insurance.” (Pg 25) The Council conducted the second reading and adopted an ordinance adding Subsection C to Section 2.04.060 of the City of Coronado Municipal Code regarding official bonds and insurance.

d.         Authorize the City Manager to Enter into a Master Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Savvik Buying Group and Execute a Purchase Order with Stryker Medical in an Amount Not to Exceed $353,000 for Emergency Medical Equipment for Fire Services. (Pg 31) The Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a participating public agency master intergovernmental agreement with Eagle County Health District, dba Eagle County Paramedic Services, Public Safety Association Inc., managed by the North Central EMS Corporation, dba Savvik Buying Group, and issue a purchase order to Stryker Medical via a cooperative purchasing contract in an amount not to exceed $353,000 for replacement of emergency medical equipment for Fire Services.  

**e.         Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Sole Source Agreement with Vigilant Solutions for License Plate Recognition System Hosting/Data Access Fees and ARJIS Interface in an Amount Not to Exceed $117,199. (Pg 33) The Council authorized the City Manager to execute a sole source agreement with Vigilant Solutions for License Plate Recognition System hosted/data access fees and ARJIS interface for a period of five years beginning Nov. 1, 2020, in an amount not to exceed a five-year maximum contract sum, inclusive of annual cost of living adjustments in alignment with the San Diego regional consumer price index, but no greater than 3% in years 2-5, which shall not exceed $117,199.

f.          Authorize Encroachment Permit Application Number E2108-002 for Private Hardscape and Landscape Improvements in the Public Right-of-Way Adjacent to 609 First Street. (Pg 37) The Council authorized the City Engineer to approve permit application number E2108-002 for existing and proposed hardscape and landscape improvements in the public right-of-way adjacent to 609 First St. with the condition that the driveway apron be symmetrically sawcut and extended.

g.         Authorization to Advertise the Wastewater Main Replacement Fiscal Year 2016-17 Project for Bid. (Pg 41) The Council authorized staff to advertise the Wastewater Main Replacement Fiscal Year 2016-17 project for bid.

 

10.       CITY COUNCIL:

b. Presentation by Andre Monette, Best Best & Krieger, Regarding Federal Lobbying, Including Efforts to Address Tijuana River Environmental Issues. (Pg 49) The Council received a report regarding federal lobbying, including efforts to address Tijuana River environmental issues.

c.         Update Regarding Regional Developments Related to Enforcement at the Zuniga Jetty Anchorage. (Pg 51) The Council received a report related to enforcement at the Zuniga Jetty Anchorage and directed staff to continue negotiating with appropriate agencies to see how the City can be a responsible partner.
