New Catalog

The library is pleased to offer a new catalog.

The new catalog:
-has an improved, more intuitive search engine
-can be fine tuned more easily to specific formats, such as audio-books or DVDs, or genre such as mystery or biography
-allows users to check-out E-Books from within the catalog

The catalog is more personal now, by creating an account patrons can:
-add ratings and reviews to materials
-create & share personalized lists & recommendations
-place a hold on a title with one click

Finding new material has never been easier, new titles appear on the catalog homepage and can be filtered for material type, genre, author and more.

Cultural and educational exhibits are regularly displayed at the Coronado Library. The exhibit gallery connects the main lobby and Spreckels Reading Room to the rest of the library.   Past exhibits have included: World War II in Words and Pictures; Designed by Edith Head; the Art of Folk Costume; and L. Frank Baum and the Hotel del Coronado.  A large window cabinet at the entrance to the Children's Library features displays as diverse as the "Holiday Animated Window" and the "Old General Store".

The Library offers many book discussion groups, as well as special cultural programs such as lectures and concerts. The Summer Festival at the Library offers a host of special activities and programs. Please check the Library calendar for the latest programs.
