5.         CONSENT CALENDAR: 

a.         Approval of Reading by Title and Waiver of Reading in Full of Ordinances on this Agenda.  (Pg 05)  Approved.

*b.          Review and Approve that the Warrants, as Certified by the City/Agency Treasurer, are all Correct, Just, and Conform to the Approved Budgets for FY 2015-2016 and FY 2016-2017.  (Pg 07)  Approved.

c.         Acceptance of the Wayfinding Signage Project and Direction to the City Clerk to File a Notice of Completion.  (Pg 59)  The Council accepted the project and directed the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion.

d.         Authorize Allocation of $242,200 in Wastewater Funds to Address Undetected Conditions at the Glorietta Bay Pump Station and Direct the City Manager to Approve Change Orders to Effectuate the Structural Repairs.  (Pg 61)  The Council authorized the appropriation of additional funds and directed the City Manager to execute change orders for unanticipated construction costs.

e.         Authorization for the City Manager to Execute a Purchase Agreement for an Amount Not to Exceed $176,500 through a Cooperative Purchasing Program for Three Police Department SUVs.  (Pg 63)  The Council authorized the City Manager to execute the purchase agreement following the programmed replacement schedule in the current FY 2016-17 Vehicle and Equipment Replacement (VER) Fund 135.

f.          Authorization for the City Engineer to Issue Revised Encroachment Permit No. E5-89 to Sharp Coronado Hospital Accommodating New Improvements on Prospect Place and Soledad Place within the City Right-of-Way.  (Pg 65)  The Council authorized the City Engineer to issue revised Encroachment Permit No. E5-89 to Sharp Coronado Hospital.

g.         Adoption of a Resolution Approving a One-Lot Final Subdivision Map to Allow for Condominium Ownership of Six Residential Units for the Property Addressed as 841-855 F Avenue in the R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) Zone (PC 2016-02).  (Pg 77)  The Council adopted the resolution.

h.         Adoption of a Resolution Requesting the Unified Port District of San Diego Reactivate a Staff-Level Sea Level Rise Adaptation Working Group as Recommended in the 2012 Regional Sea Level Rise Adaptation Strategy for San Diego Bay.  (Pg 95)  The Council adopted the resolution.

 

 8.        PUBLIC HEARINGS

a.         Public Hearing:  Introduction of “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Coronado, California, Amending Portions of the Coronado Municipal Code to Implement the Recommendations of the Residential Standards Improvement Program (RSIP-3) Committee Regarding Zoning Development Standards Including, but not limited to, Off-Street Parking; Building Height; Building Mass; Floor Area Ratio (FAR); Roof Decks; Dormers; Non-Conforming Structures; and Design Review and Subdivision Requirements.”  (PC 2013-08 City of Coronado) (Pg 99)  The Council introduced the ordinance of the City Council of the City of Coronado, California, amending portions of the Coronado Municipal Code to implement the recommendations of the Residential Standards Improvement Program (RSIP-3) Committee regarding zoning development standards including, but not limited to, off-street parking; building height; building mass; floor area ratio (FAR); roof decks; dormers; non-conforming structures; and design review and subdivision requirements; and directed the City Clerk to read the title of the proposed ordinance.

b.         Public Hearing:  Adoption of a Resolution Amending the Policies and Fees for Coronado Recreation Services, Facilities, and Programs with Regard to Banquet Room, Aquatics Center, Boathouse, John D. Spreckels Center and Bowling Green, and Parks and Beaches.  (Pg 423)  The Council adopted the resolution amending Recreation Services facility use fees and policies.

 

 

11.       CITY COUNCIL:

b.         Authorize the City Manager to Enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Michael Baker International in an Amount Not to Exceed $117,000 to Develop the Schematic Design for the Coronado Gateway Project.  (Pg 447)  The Council authorized the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Michael Baker International to develop schematic designs for the Coronado Gateway project based on a phased approach for an amount not to exceed $117,000.

 

13.       COMMUNICATIONS - WRITTEN:

a.         Consideration of Councilmember Bailey’s Request to Agendize City Council Discussion Concerning a Review of Coronado Municipal Code Chapter 56.28 Rollerskates and Skateboards.  (Pg 473)  The Council agreed to place the item on a future agenda for discussion.
